Many Roots Ensemble, a multi-genre independent outfit from India, has recently released their debut album Echoes of Origins. The LP blends jazz with afrobeat, RnB, soul, Middle-Eastern, Ethio-grooves, and Indian classical music, reflecting the diverse influences the band has grown up with.

Their latest single, ‘Cold Turkey’, features hip-hop artist MC Mawali from Swadesi. Known for incorporating native Indian sounds, the band now explores desi hip-hop, merging socio-political lyrics with their signature instrumental breaks.

The band consists of Abhishek Debsikdar on drums, Souvik Bhattacharya on electric bass, Subid Khan on guitars, and Jarryd Rodrigues on alto saxophone.
