The debut single from French trio Mokidjo pulls decades of stage history into a tight, rhythm-driven exchange. “Moko” builds an ethno-jazz sound from a strict triangle of bass, drums, and saxophone.
Bassist Isaac Koffi anchors the track with vocal chants and immediate low-end momentum, drawing directly on African musical traditions. Drummer Loïc Wostrowski brings the weight of the Marseille reggae and rap scenes, turning his experience with IAM and Jo Corbeau into a relentless, danceable pace. Over this deep rhythmic foundation, saxophonist Julian Broudin pushes the arrangement forward with agile jazz phrasing.
The three musicians lock into a collective trance, relying entirely on organic interplay to shape a kinetic Afro-urban groove.
