Marking 25 years of genre-blurring innovation, Dutch-Brazilian-German trio Zuco 103 return with “Mais Além (Beyond),” released 23 May on their own label, ZucoSound. Known for shaping the ‘Brazilectro’ sound in the early 2000s, the group—Brazilian vocalist Lílian Vieira, Dutch drummer Stefan Kruger, and German keyboardist Stefan Schmid—continue to refine their fusion of samba, bossa nova, electronic production, jazz, and funk.

“Mais Além” is a tightly woven track that plays with contrast—layering warm Brazilian grooves with sleek electronic textures and jazz-inflected harmony. Vieira’s vocals, delivered in Portuguese, cut through with soul and precision, carried by Schmid’s fluid keys and Kruger’s crisp, syncopated rhythms. The arrangement is spacious and controlled, allowing every element room to breathe.

Following their Edison Jazz/World Award-winning 2023 album Telenova, “Mais Além” affirms Zuco 103’s enduring relevance and creative consistency—offering a refined and forward-thinking update on their hybrid sound.
