Originating from Aarhus, Denmark, KÖZ is known for blending global influences with jazz, folk and electronica. Their sound combines Scandinavian folk tradition with hip-hop, jazz, and Afro-grooves, featuring complex rhythms and a touch of Nordic melancholy.

Their track “Breakdance,” from the brand-new EP Blinker Mod Regn (Blinker Against Rain), was released on  the 28th of June, and delves into themes of personal growth, existential reflections, and the transient nature of time, using metaphors of rain and storms to convey deeper insights.

KÖZ works as a 9-piece collaborative band without a fixed hierarchy or specific songwriters. Their music comes from collective improvisation, with all members contributing equally. This approach gives their sound a dynamic and organic feel, especially in live performances.
