To celebrate Brazilian Independence Day, London’s most talented Latin musicians will present an explosive tropical dance set inspired by the maestro of 70’s Brazilian pop music and samba funk – Jorge Ben Jor.
One of the Tropicália movement’s most iconic figures thanks to his self-titled album released in 1969, Jorge remains one of Brazil’s most timeless artists of the 20th century.
With countless hits including ‘Chove Chuva’, ‘Mas Que Nada’, ‘Ive Brussel’ and ‘Balança Pena’, his work has been interpreted by artists from Caetano Veloso and Sérgio Mendes to Miriam Makeba and Marisa Monte.
