London-based singer and composer Noga Ritter returns to the stage on Friday 20 June with a special live performance at the Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club. The concert marks her first UK date following a three-month trip to Brazil, where she toured and recorded new material. The set will feature unreleased songs inspired by those travels, alongside tracks from her 2023 debut album Ima.
Ritter’s music blends Middle Eastern melodies with jazz harmony, West African rhythms, and improvisation. Her performances often shift between reflective storytelling and high-energy ensemble sound, with songs in both Hebrew and English. Her writing draws on personal memory, cultural identity and travel, and her live sets are grounded in strong rhythmic interplay and collaboration.
Her debut album Ima was released on Galileo Music with support from Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK, and features guest contributions from Seckou Keita, Byron Wallen, and Tony Kofi, with production by Liran Donin. Ritter has performed internationally, with appearances at the EFG London Jazz Festival, The Forge Camden, and festivals across Europe.
Joining her are long-time collaborators Giuliano Osella (drums), Giovanni Cresseri (bass) and Tomer Eldor (piano), musicians who bring depth, space and responsiveness to her live sound. Opening the night is special guest Bjorn Wray-Gough, a London-born bassist, singer and composer whose work moves freely between jazz, soul, folk and experimental improvisation. Known for his solo looping sets and collaborative songwriting, Wray-Gough creates intricate, emotionally open performances that rely on little more than voice, bass, and space.
The setting, Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club in south London, amplifies the intimacy of the music. With its cabaret-style seating and focus on acoustic performance, the space is designed for close connection between artist and audience. It’s a room where detail matters, and where Ritter’s ability to shift between stillness and intensity can land without interruption.
This performance offers a preview of her next phase: new music, new collaborations, and a return to London with a tighter, more exploratory sound.
