The Afrodiziac’s Jazz, a New Orleans-based ensemble, has released a live performance video for their single “Killer,” recorded at the Blue Nile. This track is from their latest album, Immigration, which comprises seven tracks that merge 1970s Ethio-grooves with original compositions, highlighted by dynamic grooves and strong horn sections.
Since 2018, the band has been known for blending traditional New Orleans jazz with influences from Ethiopian greats like Mulatu Astatke. Immigration continues to showcase their evolution, featuring complex rhythms and harmonies inspired by various African music traditions and jazz fusion.
