Orchestra Baobab, the iconic Senegalese band, has released “Jambar Yi,” a new single from their highly anticipated upcoming album.This release comes as the band recently marked 50 years in the music industry.

“Jambar Yi,” which translates to “our heroes” in Wolof, honours the legacy and past members of the band. The song was recorded live at London’s KOKO and includes contributions from the children of former band members, preserving the group’s tradition of merging Afro-Cuban rhythms with Griot music.
