French production collective Mystic Firm returns with “Suis Ton Instinct,”  a new single featuring Réunionese vocalist Kony974, released on 18 April via Baco Records. The track extends Mystic Firm’s steady evolution within the contemporary roots reggae landscape, combining a grounded rhythmic foundation with dub-inflected production and a clean, spacious mix.

Based in Bordeaux, Mystic Firm has become known for its collaborative ethos and studio-driven approach, working with a wide range of artists across the francophone and global reggae scenes. Collaborations with figures like Lord Kossity and Derajah have underscored their interest in the intersection of traditional Jamaican forms with local and diasporic sounds, from French dancehall to Indian Ocean island styles.

Kony974—a member of the Reggae Blaster collective in Réunion—brings his own layered perspective to the track. With an ear for melody and a clear vocal presence, his contribution lends a measured intensity to the tune. The lyrics, calling for self-trust and inner resilience, are delivered with subtle urgency, pairing well with the track’s unhurried tempo and low-slung groove.
