Munich-based psychedelic cumbia ensemble Los Babriks introduce their debut album El Vuelo del Babrik with the lively single “Caballo,” released via One World Records.

Formed in 2022 by Mauricio-Joran Cesena and Hector Tapia, the six-piece group combines guitar-driven chicha rhythms, hypnotic percussion, and vibrant organ lines into a sound steeped in Latin American traditions and 60s psychedelia.

Recorded at QuingHu’s Studio and mixed analog by aDUBta at Attic Roots Studio, “Caballo” showcases precise instrumentation and compelling songwriting, capturing the band’s distinctive blend of Colombian, Peruvian, and Caribbean influences. It’s a spirited introduction, highlighting Los Babriks’ ability to channel nostalgia through fresh grooves.
