Kosmo Sound and Imane Guemssy join forces for “Bacha Hamou”, the lead single from their EP Makasima, released on 13th December 2024 through Zephyrus Records. The track merges Kosmo Sound’s groove-driven dub with Guemssy’s traditional Gnawa influences, weaving deep basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and Moroccan spiritual elements. Mixed by Dijf Sanders, the single bridges the ancient Gnawa traditions with Kosmo Sound’s exploratory dub production.

Based in Ghent, Kosmo Sound are recognised for their blend of dub, jazz, and groove, creating layered, atmospheric compositions. Imane Guemssy, a master of the guembri and Gnawa sacred chants, contributes meditative rhythms and a spiritual essence. Together, they forge a connection between the introspection of minimalist dub and the deep-rooted heritage of Gnawa music.
