Heavy bass and sharp horns open “El Grito” before the guitar and accordion kick in, Kemadito Sound locking the whole arrangement onto a cumbia spine and pushing it forward with ska and reggae weight. The Argentine six-piece, based in Barcelona and currently mid-way through 80+ dates on their third European Summer Tour, recorded the track between El Domo Studios and Bazar studios in Rosario and mixed it at Hit The Road Music Studio in Barcelona. David Giosa is on lead vocal and trombone, Matias Viscuso on trumpet, Luis Arce on accordion and keys, Facundo Iriarte on bass, Adrian Parzentny on guitar, Blas Raposo and Mauro Jimenez handling percussion.
Kemadito Sound built their profile opening for Manu Chao across his 2024 Argentine stadium run, returning in 2025 as the backing band for Chao’s headline show at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona in front of 15,000 people.
“El Grito” is extracted from Cumbia y Fuera, out now on Kemadito Prod, with the European Summer Tour 2026 running through eighty-plus dates across Switzerland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria and Italy including a stop at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
