El Balcón‘s new single “No Creo En Banderas” is an anthem promoting peace and freedom, blending Middle Eastern melodies with Latin rhythms to champion global unity.

Since its inception in 2018, Montreal-based El Balcón has carved out a niche in blending global traditional sounds with fresh acoustic interpretations. The band started by reimagining Mexican folk tunes and has progressively ventured into creating original music, which will be featured in their upcoming album, El Errante, scheduled for release in spring 2025.

El Balcón’s instrumentation is distinctly global, including the Mexican jarana, the Persian oud, and the Peruvian cajón, which contribute to its rich, eclectic sound.
