“Kun Nan Er (My Beloved)” is the latest single from Bagedai’s debut album, which has been available on all major platforms since May 30th. Named after the band, the album was recorded at Yunnan Publishing House Studio and features a dynamic blend of traditional Wa music and reggae elements.

The single, which debuted on BBC3’s Music Planet, blends Wa chants, lutes, flutes, and traditional percussion with a modern big band vibe to tell a romantic story of love.

Supported by Sea Of Wood Records, a Yunnan-based label established in 2016, the release highlights the region’s diverse music scene and the label’s commitment to merging traditional Chinese music with contemporary styles.
