Adama Yalomba‘s new single “Anbese” extracted from his brand-new album Tanou rejuvenate the n’dan harp, an endangered traditional Malian instrument, with a modern twist.

Yalomba’s adaptation of the n’dan involves expanding it to 12 strings and integrating tuning keys, enhancing its sound while preserving its essence. This innovative approach not only celebrates Mali’s rich musical heritage by preserving the n’dan but also introduces it to contemporary music listeners, enhancing its accessibility and appeal to a wider audience, including younger generations and international listeners.
