Daily Discovery: INTI Ayvar Waltz x MELLOW MOOD – My Opinion (Pull Up Riddim)

On the Pull Up Riddim EP, Italian production duo Mellow Mood, made up of twins Jacopo and Lorenzo Garzia, revive the traditional Jamaican compilation format by running five different vocalists over the exact same instrumental groove. German-Peruvian singer INTI Ayvar Waltz takes the final slot with “My Opinion”, using his three and a half minutes over the shared beat to deliver a blunt message about global conflict and a call for cohexistance. Waltz speaks directly to the entire global population, contrasting a child’s right to play with the reality of warfare and rejecting religion as a justification for violence.

The hook, “You don’t have to share my opinion”, makes room for disagreement, and the song settles on the fact that people can coexist and judge each other. Waltz sings from Cologne, bringing the clear vocal style that led reggae veteran Luciano to call him “the Golden Voice” onstage last year. The Garzia twins originally built this underlying loop from “Pull Up“, their Romain Virgo collaboration from the 2025 album 7. Recorded and mixed by Paolo Baldini DubFiles at Alambic Conspiracy Studio in Pordenone, the track lands alongside Mellow Mood’s summer live schedule, including upcoming stops in Italy in Genoa, Naples, Rome, and at the Marquês de Pombal Palace in Oeiras, Portugal.
