“Born With It,” released on the 21st of June by Scotch Bonnet Records, is the high-octane brand-new single from Glasgow’s Mungo’s Hi-Fi, weaving together complex drum patterns and rich bass typical of drum n bass with the melodic synths and rhythmic pulses synonymous with UK garage and ’90s rave.

The track features dynamic vocal performances from singer/songwriter and producer Aziza Jaye of Nubiyan Twist, who brings dynamic hooks, Bristol-based MC Gardna offering energetic rhymes, and the distinctive style of Birmingham vocalist Eva Lazarus. The lyrics explore the balance between innate skill and the necessity for perseverance, with each contributor sharing personal insights on cultivating one’s inherent gifts.

“Born With It” continues Mungo’s Hi Fi’s exploration of UK and Jamaican sound system cultures. Released after a successful North American tour, the track aims to captivate international audiences as this summer, Mungo’s Hi-Fi will perform across the UK and Europe, including appearances at Reggae Land, Valley Festival, Boardmasters, and Boomtown, along with headline shows at the O2 Academy in Oxford and Bristol, and the Forum in London.
