On Friday, the 17th of May, Peckham Levels is set to amp up the volume with an electrifying night headlined by the trailblazing ensemble TUN (Torino Unlimited Noise) featuring no less than Dub FX, and Kensaye as the opening act.
TUN (Torino Unlimited Noise), the boundary-pushing ensemble is here to redefine your music experience. Hailing from Turin, Italy, they’re not your typical jazz cats. TUN spices up their compositions with techno wizardry. The trio, comprised of Gianni Denitto on sax, Fabio Giachino on synth, and Mattia Barbieri on drums, has made significant strides since their first EP release, engaging audiences with their unique sound and collaborative projects.
Talking of which, their performance will take an exhilarating turn with the featuring of Australian sensation Dub FX. Known for his innovative use of live looping and vocal effects, he adds a unique dimension to the musical offer bringing on board dancehall, dubstep, hip-hop and funk sonorities. His ability to construct intricate soundscapes right before your eyes (and ears!) has garnered a global following, making his featuring a highly anticipated aspect of the event.
To kick things off, a good old friend of Rhythm Passport, DJ, producer, percussionist, and educator Kensaye. He will jump behind the decks to let you dance the night away until closing time, so get ready for a set filled with infectious vibes, blending afrobeats, dancehall, reggaeton, global bass, hip-hop, and nu-soul, ensuring you’ll be on the dance floor until 3AM without breaks.
