On Saturday afternoon we will finally bring summer to Greenwich Park for the Greenwich Family Arts Festival and AllEars…
Rain or shine, gather around the park’s bandstand to sway to the sunshiny Afro-Caribbean rhythms and vibes presented by Orquesta Estelar and Grupo Lokito!
We will set things in motions and Cuban rhythms free from 4PM with Orquesta Estelar a larger-than-life London-based community band.
Under the guidance of Sara McGuinness, Alfonso Mono De Jesus, and Bill Bland, the ensemble will bring a range of Cuban salsa and rumba tunes to life – from classic 40s hits to modern favourites.
But it’s not over, because one hour-later, from 5PM, the majestic Grupo Lokito will bring nothing but irresistible and contagious Afro-joy to Greenwich.
For 18 years now, they’ve filled London and the entire UK with their invigorating blend of Western African, Congolese, and Cuban vibes, along with their tireless live performances.
So, the time has come to infuse Greenwich with some much-awaited summer and let the music shine throughout the park!
