Egyptian musical icons, Sharmoofers, are finally set to grace the UK stage for the first time this Sunday at the Garage in Higbury.
Since their inception in 2012, Sharmoofers have established themselves as one of the most exciting acts in the Egyptian music scene, thanks to their unique fusion of Arabic reggae, Middle Eastern rhythms, and pop beats. But what really sets the trio apart is their clever use of satirical social commentary, woven seamlessly into their lyrics, ensuring their music is both fun and thought-provoking.
As part of their Europe tour to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Sharmoofers will also be presenting their latest album, Caravan, at the show.
The LP, which was released in early January, is a celebration of memories, love, and friendship, written by the band’s talented songwriter, Ahmed Bahaa. The album is packed with Sharmoofers’ signature fusion sound, blending positive and hopeful music with socially conscious and satirical lyrics.
Don’t miss out on the chance to experience their very first live performance in the UK!
