This is the last normal Radio Mukambo of the year (next will be the best albums of 2024) and I still have too many albums to present, so this podcast has three albums in the spotlight! We start with The Bongo Hop delivering La Pata Coja, another fantastic trans-Atlantic album full of Afro-Colombian Pacific music with a soulful, jazzy and Caribbean feel.
The Togolese singer and guitarist Dogo du Togo‘s second album Avoudé is a masterpiece of hard-hitting psychedelic Afro-rock that builds upon Togo’s musical traditions while creating a new sound to energize its future.
Oriental Brothers International Band hadn’t recorded since more than 20 years, Onye Rie Ibe Ya Erie is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the legendary highlife band from Nigeria.
