Mix: Radio Mukambo #573 – Outernational Hip-Hop Culture

It started with two albums in the spotlight, Afro-Colombian and African hip-hop, then a hip-hop album from Haiti, and yet another new hip-hop album from France, it was time to do a global hip-hop mix!

Kombilesa Mi is back with more rap folklΓ³rico palenkero on Asina GΓΊe, Afro-Colombian hiphop coming straight from the first free black town of the Americas, Palenque de Benkos. Zimbabwean femcee Awa Khiwe delivers powerful hiphop with an African twist on African Women Arise.

Vox Sambou brings much more than Haitian hiphop on Hayti Lives, the globetrotter has been known for his global musical taste for a while. With ASM (A State of Mind) we dig into sample culture with very phat flows on The Frenzy of Bacchus, while Ozferti takes sampling culture to another level on Sudanithiopia, bringing Sudanese and Ethiopian originals to the 21st century on a hip-hop beat.
