Mix: Radio Mukambo #557 – Congo Madness & Analog Spellbreakers

This week Radio Mukambo takes you to the Golden Age of Congo Funk with the compilation “Sound Madness From The Shores Of The Mighty Congo River (1969-1982)” out on Analog Africa. We add some contemporary afrobeat by Konkolo Orchestra (Switzerland), Ẹ̀RÍN Afrofunk (Italy) and London Afrobeat Collective (UK) before going back to vintage Jamaican sound with the debut album of the Antwerp-based reggae collective Spellbreakers. We finish off with some hiphop by Siba Puri (Brazil), Amerigo Gazaway and Akua Naru.
