A double helping of New Orleans’ finest, Tank and The Bangas, awaits in the fine acoustics of Camden’s Jazz Cafe this summer.

Winners of NPR’s Tiny Desk contest in 2017, this three-time Grammy-nominated collective blends hip-hop, soul, and spoken word, while also citing anime and Disney as influences. However, don’t underestimate the lyricism and flow of Tarriona “Tank” Ball, who fronts this slick group alongside musical director Joshua Johnson.

Playing both a matinee and an evening show, expect nothing but bangers from the group’s most recent album, Red Balloon (a favourite of Michelle Obama), all performed with fun and flavour.
