There was a time in London, years and years ago, when you could show up at the late Passing Clouds or New Empowering Church at 1AM and the gig wouldn’t have started yet. You might have found yourself waiting another hour or more, sipping a few drinks to pass the time. Then, finally, it would be time to warm up your dancing feet because for the next 2, 3, or sometimes even 4 hours, you were set to dance relentlessly to the best afrobeat and Afro-funk vibes in town…
Well, those times are back, at least for one night, tomorrow when the one and only Dele Sosimi and his Afrobeat Vibrations (a 12-piece orchestra featuring members of Dele’s glorious Afrobeat Orchestra) will revive the vibes of those glorious and never-ending music nights at Colour Factory.
From 10:30PM to 4AM, Dele will transform a corner of Hackney Wick into Lagos’ Shrine!
