New York-based quartet Yemen Blues has released their new single “Only Love Remains” from the upcoming third album, set to release digitally on the 28th of August through Kartel Music Group.
The band blends Middle Eastern, Avant-garde and electronic music in this track, which also serves as a tribute to the late Yemeni musician Ahmed Alshaiba. Frontman Ravid Kahalani describes the song as an homage to Alshaiba’s legacy, with influences from African tribal music. This song exemplifies their approach to merging traditional Yemeni music with contemporary sounds.
The album Only Love Remains promises a deep, collaborative effort between the band members, standing as a direct emotional experience amidst a backdrop of global divisiveness, advocating for inclusivity and celebration against cultural polarisation.
