Berlin-based RAH & The Ruffcats collaborate with South African producer Kid Fonque on a new remix of their afrobeat-inspired track “Rodeo.” Originally from their album Orile to Berlin, released last year via Sonar Kollektiv. the song blends afrobeat rhythms, hip-hop influences, and socially conscious lyrics.
Kid Fonque reworks the track into a hypnotic Afro-house floor-filler, layering deep basslines, pulsating beats, and atmospheric melodies while maintaining its original essence.
RAH, a Lagos-born rapper and vocalist, leads The Ruffcats, a Berlin-based eight-piece band known for their fusion of afrobeat, funk, and hip-hop. Active in Germany’s live music scene since 2007, they have collaborated with artists like Georgia Anne Muldrow and Miles Bonny. Kid Fonque, a key figure in South Africa’s electronic music scene, adds his signature blend of Afro-inspired rhythms and electronic production to the remix.
