Daily Discovery: Reyiman – Sin Prisa (feat. Jah Jah)

Reyiman, the Puerto Rican producer and vocalist, is crafting a sound that draws from Latin America’s rhythmic backbone and the pulse of Afro-Caribbean street music. On his new single “Sin Prisa,” featuring Jamaican artist Jah Jah, he strips it back to essentials: voice, groove, and intention. The track is part of his new EP D VUELTA A LA RAÍZ, a project rooted in reclaiming musical ancestry through collaboration and rhythm.

The groove leans into a cumbia-reggae pulse, steady and low-slung. Reyiman’s voice stays close to the beat, speaking with control and ease. Jah Jah enters with weight and tone, sliding across the rhythm without breaking it. The instrumentation is bare but pointed: brass jabs, guitar flourishes, a rhythm section that moves with intent.

This track encapsulates Reyiman’s approach: grounded in tradition but not confined by it. His ability to collaborate across cultures without diluting either side results in music that’s coherent, open, and quietly radical.
