Belém’s own singer/songwriter Rafael Veredas has unveiled a new samba titled “Feira do Açaí,” dedicated to the iconic Açaí Market in the city’s Campina neighbourhood.

The song, recorded with the Fé No Batuque samba group, evokes the market’s lively ambiance with its blend of drums, guitars, and tambourines.

Veredas, known for drawing inspiration from daily life, has been deeply involved in music from the age of eight. His eclectic musical style is enriched by his autodidactic learning and literary influences.

Veredas is planning to release an album in 2024 that will further explore his distinct mix of musical and literary elements, drawing inspiration from his hometown of Belém.
