UK sound system culture keeps generating new anthems. “Hey My Selecta” is the latest, pairing London MC and singjay Natty Campbell with producer King Yoof. First released as a digital single on 5 August 2025 via Cheeba Bay Records, based in the Netherlands, the track returned on 25 January through UK label Easy Vibes as a digital single with a vinyl pressing.

Campbell came through London’s soundsystem scene before joining Reggae Roast in late 2016. He has released music on Trojan Reloaded and appears on Chase & Status‘s RTRN II JNGLE album. He has played UK festivals including Glastonbury with dub producer Scientist, Boomtown, Secret Garden Party and Bestival, and international dates at Outlook, Bahidora in Mexico and Meadows in the Mountains in Bulgaria. King Yoof has released reggae, dub and jungle on labels including Roots Records UK, Biological Beats and Trojan Reloaded.

The track is a celebration of selectors, stacked speaker boxes and the culture that keeps reggae active worldwide. Campbell delivers lyrics about unity and respect for the soundsystem scene over King Yoof’s heavy dub production. He describes the track as an ode to soundsystem dances with a modern approach, and says this is his first release done entirely in-house.
