“Bahia” is extracted from Matjé‘s latest album Sur Mon Dos where the French singer/songwriter combines French lyrics with tropical music genres, including Colombian Cumbia, Brazilian Forró, African Soukous, Reunionese Maloya, and Malagasy Salegy.

While rooted in tradition, the album incorporates modern elements, sometimes drawing from hip-hop influences. Matjé’s music is known for its positive energy and dance-inviting tunes, coupled with thoughtful and poetic lyrics.
