KOKOKO! has released “Bazo Banga,” a new track from their upcoming album BUTU, set for release on the 5th of July through Transgressive Records.

“Bazo Banga,” which translates to “they are scared” in Lingala, is traditionally a chant used by crowds to express frustration. The song features a mix of electronic beats and bass lines, reflecting the vibrant and tumultuous spirit of Kinshasa’s nightlife. Accompanying the single is a music video featuring chaotic imagery, enhancing the song’s revolutionary vibe.

The single draws inspiration from the nocturnal energy of Kinshasa and is produced in collaboration with Belgian producer Xavier Thomas, known as Débruit.
