Kazayah sings “Sweet Love” over an instrumental that took its producers nearly three years to complete. That instrumental is Landmark Riddim, and it follows the Jamaican riddim format: a single backing track, with fifteen vocalists each recording a separate song to it.

Stay Nice Music, the Maine label directed by Joshua “Don Daka” Smith, constructed it with co-producer David “Jah David” Goldmine, guitarist Lamont “Monty” Savory, Okiel McIntyre, I Grade‘s Laurent “Tippy I” Alfred and Spanish roots producer Roberto Sánchez, setting deep bass, clipped skank and warm horns beneath a one-drop the label terms One Drop Blues.

Dub Shot Records issued the eighteen-track set on 21 August 2026, with Kumar Fyah recounting his detention over a small quantity of ganja, MediSun addressing freedom and Badda General on clash culture. Kazayah directs the rhythm towards a love song that reads a man’s arrival as ordained timing and measures the relationship by admiration, protection and the experience of being fully known.

She was born Shanelle Mitchell to Jamaican parents in Evanston, on the northern edge of Chicago, sang in a Seventh-day Adventist congregation from childhood and reached roots reggae through a producer based in the same town. Her debut EP I Am Kazayah was released through Tuff Gong Worldwide, Ziggy Marley‘s label, and she has opened for him on tour.
