“Bartz is a Kid Again,” Julien Daïan Quintet’s new single, is part of their upcoming album, Suppose It Is Butter, scheduled for release on November 8th under the French Paradox label. This track pays homage to jazz musician Gary Bartz, effectively capturing his distinct style of energetic funk and Afro-jazz.

Since its formation in 2005, the Paris-based quintet, led by saxophonist Julien Daïan, has been noted for blending jazz with elements of electronica, pop, and world music.
