Jah Decko introduces his latest single, “Opposite of Good,” a stripped-down roots reggae tune from his new album Modern Rockers Vol. 2.
Born Darl Douglas in Paramaribo and raised in Amsterdam’s Bijlmer, Decko brings a grounded, bilingual voice to politically aware reggae shaped by his Surinamese background and Dutch experience.
The track is built on dry, minimal percussion and a steady bassline, with calm but pointed vocals that speak directly to inequality and complacency.
A former pro footballer turned producer, Decko has worked with artists like Joggo, Ziggi Recado and Miriam Simone. His music keeps the roots tradition alive while opening it up to new languages and contexts.
