“Days of Moses” stands as a modern roots declaration from Greg Roy(GregoryOliver Whitehead), a Jamaican-born singer now based in Tampa, Florida. Released on 3 October 2025 through Music River International, the single was produced by David Goldfine (Jah David) with co-production from Laurent P. Alfred (Tippy I-Grade).
Built on a grounded one-drop rhythm, the track moves through a deep bassline, crisp snare, and clipped offbeat guitar. Roy’s vocal carries both clarity and weight, rising through the mix with blues phrasing and a subtle dancehall cadence. Every element stays deliberate — rhythm, tone, and timing — leaving no excess.
Written and performed by Roy, “Days of Moses” sets ancient warning against present-day greed, war, and ecological decay. “We’re living in the days of Moses / Who’s gonna lead the people away” turns from lament to challenge, while “Send us another from across the Red Sea” lands as plea and prophecy combined.
The release unites Roy with Jah David and filmmaker Birhan, whose video gives form to its vision, alongside artwork by Joey Clay.
“Days of Moses” is available now on all platforms via Music River International.
