Guitarist and composer Esy Tadesse, formerly known as Etsegenet Mekonnen, has introduced her latest single “Buna” from her debut EP Ahadu. Available on FPE Records, this track showcases Tadesse’s fusion of traditional Ethiopian musical elements with contemporary sounds, reflecting her unique artistic evolution.

The upcoming EP Ahadu, set for a digital release on the 31st of May, is a meticulously crafted collection that explores the depth of Ethiopian musical scales intertwined with elements of Western jazz. This project, produced by Grammy-winning producer Kibrom Birhane, represents a significant chapter in Tadesse’s musical journey, emphasising her evolution from her beginnings in Addis Ababa to her current status in the Los Angeles music scen
