“Purple Sun” serves as the first single from the Polish jazz ensemble EABS‘s upcoming album, Reflections of Purple Sun, slated for release under Astigmatic Records. This album presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic 1973 classic “Purple Sun” by legendary Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stańko.

Hailing from Wrocław, EABS has been reshaping the Polish jazz scene since 2012 with their distinctive blend of classic and contemporary sounds. Their innovative approach, known as “reconstruction from deconstruction,” breathes new life into timeless jazz standards by incorporating electronic and experimental elements.
