Bagedai, a band hailing from Ximeng in China’s Yunnan province, reflects the distinct culture of the Wa ethnic group. Renowned for their musicianship and vibrant performances, the band has significantly impacted the Chinese Reggae scene by infusing traditional Wa music with an upbeat twist.

Their latest EP, Black Pearl, released on the 17th of May by Sea of Wood Records, features tracks like “Jia Lin Sai (Let’s Groove)” and “Ya Luo Hei,” which modernise and celebrate Wa cultural heritage.
