Daily Discovery: Ana Rossi x Ramiro Pinheiro – Fina Estampa

Fina Estampa” is a Peruvian classic, written by Chabuca Granda and made widely known across Latin America before Caetano Veloso recorded his own version. Ana Rossi and Ramiro Pinheiro take that version as their starting point and pull the song toward bossa nova, keeping it spare and close between voice and acoustic guitar.

Rossi is an Argentine singer based in Barcelona, who performs with several ensembles including Coetus, UNA and Gafieira Miúda, and released Una Casa, her 2023 debut album of original compositions, produced by María Di Pace. Pinheiro is a Brazilian guitarist, singer and songwriter from São Paulo, also based in Barcelona, whose debut album, Sentido, released via Fresh Sound Records, brought together jazz and Brazilian musicians from the Barcelona scene.

The two have worked together across several projects, and “Fina Estampa” appears on Sublime Primavera Vol. 2, a four-song duo EP that follows 2025’s Sublime Primavera Vol. 1. The release also includes Dori Caymmi‘s “O Passo da Dança,” Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes‘ “Estrada Branca,” and Rossi’s own “Sambinha Agradecido.”
