Parlor Greens delivered a live performance of their track “The Ripper” at the KEXP studio, recorded on the 5th of September. Featuring Tim Carman on drums, Jimmy James on guitar, and Adam Scone on organ, the trio has quickly risen in the ranks of heavy instrumental music under the banner of Colemine Records.
The band members, each with formidable backgrounds—Carman from GA-20, James from True Loves and the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, and Scone, with his history in Lou Donaldson’s band and Sugarman 3—showcased remarkable chemistry during the session.
Their performance highlighted selections from their debut album, In Green We Dream released back in July. Recorded over an intense three-day period, the album comprises eleven tracks, including ten originals and a standout cover that encapsulate the group’s unique blend of soul, jazz, and funk influences.
