Nacar’s single “Crioula” honours the strength and spirit of the women from Brazil’s Northeast, capturing the energy of the region with acid arpeggios, traditional percussion, and Kamila Oliveira Da Silva’s striking vocals.

Nacar, a trio born from a chance encounter in Olinda, Brazil, weaves together Afro-Brazilian rhythms like côco, maracatu, and samba with the sharp edge of electronic influences, from trap to trip-hop.

Kamila, with roots deep in Pernambuco, brings the vocal storytelling of Brazilian folk and classical training, while Galael Renault and Jeff Trudel add layers of percussive and synth textures.

Through “Crioula” and their recently released EP Chegança, Nacar opens a dialogue on resilience, cultural heritage, and feminine strength, all conveyed in sounds that stir both body and soul.
