Orgōne, known for their dynamic West Coast soul sound, just released a new single, “Zum Zum,” from their hot-off-the-press album, Chimera. The Los Angeles-based band infuses the song with a blend of Afro-funk rhythms and hypnotic psychedelic rock melodies, accompanied by soulful Lingala vocals by Mermans “Mofaya” Mosengo.
Released by 3 Palm Records, Chimera is Orgōne’s 13th studio album. Produced by Sergio Rios, a co-founder of the band, the LP showcases Orgōne’s signature tight, funky sound and their eclectic influences, from New Orleans funk to African rhythms.
