20:00 – 21:00: First Set of dances – more simple ones to learn the moves

21:00 – 21:30: Break!

21:30 – 23:30: Barn Dance Proper

**About The Dancing**

Although called many things; Ceilidh, Country Dance, Barn Dance, Ceili Dance, Square Dance, Set Dancing – one thing is certain, it’s all “traditional” and how people would entertain themselves before TV and raves. We have a live band on stage to provide the music, and a “Dance Caller”, who is expert at teaching you all the simple and fun moves. First we learn the dance by walking through it with the caller, then the band strike up, and we dance to the music. You don’t need any experience, just willingness to have a go and have community.
