After a week of absence to promote Mukambo‘s newest mixtape Let’s Felabrate 2020 – Global Afrobeat Movement, Radio Mukambo is back with a global trip that starts in Venezuela. Raúl Monsalve y los Forajidos fuse traditional Afro-Venezuelan rhythms with futuristic Latin jazz, psych funk and afrobeat on “Bichos”, our cd of the week out on Olindo Records. Bichos is Spanish for ‘vermin’, ‘bugs’, ‘beasts’ but also used in Venezuela to refer to a “nasty piece of work”. We also listen to new afrobeat from Argentina by El Gran Capitán & Luka Afrobeat Orquesta and discover the first Hungarian afrobeat band, The Mabon Dawud Republic.

The second part of the podcast brings Latin beats by KRAUT, a remix by DJ Tahira (Brazil) and some African bass by Ancient Astronauts featuring Art Melody (Burkina Faso).
