Back on popular demand, Benjaflor presenting Radio Mukambo.
This Brasil Summer Special starts with a fantastic hip-hop remix album for the 80th anniversary of the classic Orquestra Afro Brasileira, the groundbreaking Brazilian ensemble founded in 1942 by Abigail Moura. An ensemble that had an lasting influence of the Afro-Brazilian music scene.
We continue our Brazilian trip in time with 86-year-old Queen of Carimbó Dona Onete presenting her fifth studio album Bagaceira, a mix of indigenous, African and contemporary music from Belém do Para.
And then a nice surprise: Carioca trio Assa-Peixe mixing groove rock, surf music, Touareg & beyond on their debut album Ondas.
