Flautist Annarella Sörlin (from Örebro, Sweden) and ngoni master Django Diabaté (from Mali, based in Dakar, Senegal) are set to release their debut single, “Dakar-Örebro,” from the upcoming album Jouer, out on the 25th of October. The pair met during a 2022 European tour with Wau Wau Collectif, quickly discovering the magic of blending Swedish flute with West African string instruments.

Their collaboration bridges cultural and musical boundaries, blending elements of Swedish folk, West African melodies, and spiritual jazz. Produced by Annarella, co-produced by Karl Jonas Winqvist, and recorded by Lars Fredrik Swahn, Jouer will be released via We Are Busy Bodies and sing a song fighter.
