Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 release their new single “T.O.P.” (Things Over People) on the 24th of July via Record Kicks.

The song protests the oppression of nature and humanity, emphasising how society prioritizes materialism over people. This single follows “Dey” featuring Damian Marley and is part of the upcoming album Heavier Yet (Lays The Crownless Head), out on the 4th of October.

Seun Kuti, son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, continues to lead Egypt 80, preserving his father’s legacy. Known for socially conscious music, Seun’s work includes collaborations with artists like Black Thought, Janelle Monáe, and Talib Kweli.
