Trinidadian vocalist Queen Omega links with Boston’s Naya Rockers on “Words of Wisdom,” a low-slung roots track recorded between Flóki Studios in Iceland, Port of Spain, and Kingston’s Tuff Gong.

Led by drummer-producer Nathan Sabanayagam, the Rockers craft a warm analog bed — one-drop rhythm, springy rimshots, and Hammond flourishes — tuned to dub tradition without pastiche. Omega’s vocal stays grounded in a low register, threading Rastafari consciousness and gospel phrasing into a steady, affirming call for right speech.

Out via Naya Records, it’s the fifth single from Higher Education, a transatlantic collaboration supporting Kingston’s Alpha School of Music and featuring Jamaican veterans like Earl “Chinna” Smith alongside a new wave of diasporic voices.
