Reggae collective Naya Rockers partners with acclaimed reggae artist Mike Love for “Long Way Down,” a fresh single blending reggae roots, ska and rocksteady rhythms with a call to action against corporate greed and social inequality. Rooted in themes of resilience and community, the song urges listeners to examine the systems shaping their lives and embrace the power of change from the ground up.
“Long Way Down” features a stellar lineup of musicians who bring its rich sound to life. Nathan Sabanayagam drives the rhythm on drums and percussion, with Nate Edgar’s bass and Cameron Greenlee’s keys providing a rock-solid foundation. Renowned guitarists Andy Bassford and Earl “Chinna” Smith, a reggae legend, add their distinctive touch to the track. Vocals, recorded by Mike Love, were tracked alongside overdubs, mixed at Jamaica’s Tuff Gong Studios by Stephen Stewart and Michael “Boxy” Howell, known for their expertise in reggae production.
The single dropped on 25th October and is now streaming on all major platforms. You can stream and listen to it HERE
